Alyn waters and the toddler

Going for country walks are lovely when they’re in the sling… Then it’s “out out out” and the you need eyes in your a*&e.

May I suggest an all in one waterproof and wellies to anyone with a child that moves! Mud mud mud! Splash splash splash!

Alyn Waters Country Park, Gwersyllt side

THIS  is one of the beautiful parks around Wrexham and it’s really pretty this time of year with all of the leaves changing colour .
We were the first car in the car park this morning and it was perfectly quiet!

I was hoping for it to  be quiet as the activity that I wanted to do with piglet this morning was to just listen! There is part of the walk where a little stream runs into the river and listening to it trickle down is very preaceful. More  on that later.

So of course I started off with the obligatory photo of the map… you just never know!

We  tend to walk the longest route so Ted can have a good run about. Plus it takes you down to the river and he likes to have a quick dip!

I’ll just put a few pics on here because I’m going to try to put a video together… I say I,  but what I mean is the hubby is going to be mithered until he helps me!

So we got to the little  stream and we just listened.

(video to follow as it won’t upload ! argh!)

I pointed to where we were looking and to where the stream entered the river. I asked her questions and modelled the answers.

Next time I’d think about some exciting words to describe the sounds we heard.

We carried on our walk and we saw this lovely big tree so we went right underneath the braches and looked up!

Soon after  this Piglet drifted off to sleep and Ted and I finished the walk off.

As I went long I spotted a tree that I took a photo of the week before .  What a difference in a week.

I finished off the walk with a lovely cup of hot chocolate and  a slice of toast in the very friendly visitor centre .
