After seeing some lovely photos on Facebook of family visiting Bellis Brothers for the pick your own pumpkins, I just had to tale piglet.
Today we brought Mr Penny along with us. Mr Penny is a friend and an old colleague of mine who had just passed his driving test so we thought he deserved a treat!
We arrived early and went for a cup of tea first and a toasted tea cake. I’ve not been inside before and it’s huge! Lots of gifts and a farm shop plus the restaurant. The ladies who served us were very lovely and it was a good start to the morning.
We made our way over to the spooky maize maze!
Along the way we saw lots of spooky surprises!
We were quite pleased with ourselves that we found the middle…just needed to find the way out next…
Our next job was to go and explore the pumpkin patch! It was huge! I’ve never seen so many pumpkins!
I took Piglet out of the carrier so she could have a good look and feel of the pumpkin.
We found our pumkin and went to pay for it. Hopefully I’ll be able to carve something in to it!
We had a really lovely morning. Cup of tea, toasted teacakes and being outdoors =winner!
Hopefully I’ll be back in a couple of days with my niece and nephew.
I’m especially looking forward to going back next year for some Strawberry picking! To be honest I think I’ll be going quite a bit now I’ve tried the hot chocolate and I quite fancy trying the vegetarian breakfast ! (I like to go to places where there is food!)
How to get there:
When it finally let us put the post code in the Sat Nav was my friend today and took us straight there!
Go to the website for more information. They have lots going on throughout the year.
So just a quick update…. I went back again today (Thursday ) with my sister and her children and they had a fab time. My niece has show and tell when she goes back to school so she is going to do a ppt about her morning pumpkin picking!
So just a few more pics…
We also went for a drink first and the hot chocolates were amazing! Thanks again to the lovely ladies in the restaurant !
And this is what I carved!
